Black Belt Grading, October 2011
In October 2011, 5 club members went for their dan grading down at the academy in Bristol. Four went for their 1st dan grading and 1 went for his 2nd dan grading. Congratulations to them all for passing their grading in front of the senior examiners of the Tae Kwon-Do Association of Great Britain.

Congratulations to the following students who passed their recent coloured belt grading in front of Master Ron Sergiew (8th Degree Black Belt): Daniel Wallington, Louise Osborne, Anya Morjaria, Layla Jackson, Vivek Dhanjal, Sam Cooper, Luca Barker, Billy Percival, Joseph Martin, Rhys Cufflin, Leah Cufflin, Darren Cufflin, Jessica Horton, Harrison Sterland, Mirco Vanni, Giorgio Stylianou, Peter Ringland, Ethan Blackwell, Jacinta Jackson, Alicia Jackson, Robert Horton and James Bacon.
Midlands’ Championships (Kettering)
Dodgy satnavs aside, the Forest East clan trotted down to Kettering on the hottest day of the year so far, and did very well.
Welsh Championships
Robert and Jessica Horton got on their bikes and travelled down to Wales to take part in the TAGB Welsh Championships. "It was a 300 mile round trip but well worth it" said Robert. Jessica won bronze in her first ever competition!
Black Belt Grading Do - Crown Inn Anstey, May 2011
It’s a club tradition to celebrate the success of a black belt grading. And so it was that club members (and friends) trotted down to the Crown Inn, Anstey, to tuck in and celebrate the successes of the new 2nd Dans: Sai, Robert and Simran and the new 1st dan: Helen
Black Belt Grading, April 2011
In April 2011, 4 students went for their 2nd degree black belt grading in front of 5 8th degree masters and one student went for her 1st degree black belt grading too. Congratulations to you all!
English Championships, 2011
Sue Hayward, Muriel Scott and Sai-Leung Lee officiated at the English championships. Ms Hayward took charge confidently for the first time on the ring! Robert Horton took part in the English championships in Telford, winning Bronze in the coloured belt patterns section (having only recently learnt Yul Gok Tul) and Silver in the team sparring. Sherly Freer won Gold in the ladies black belt sparring division and bronze in the ladies black belt patterns category. Meanwhile, Zak Morton won Gold in the boys’ black belt patterns category, team and individual sparring.
South Midlands’ Championships, 2011
Robert and friends at the South Midland’s Championships in Hereford, 2011. Robert Did very well in the first competition of the year. Determined to do well at the last competition where he can perform Won Hyo, Mr Horton did the club proud!
Students of the year, 2010

British Championships, Telford, 2010
Forest East Tae Kwon-Do members at the British Championships 2010. Sheryl Freer retained her sparring title, Simran Judge won Bronze in sparring in the cadet female category, junior added to his successes by winning Gold in individual sparring in the men’s green belt heavy weight category whilst Max Potter won Silver in his first ever British Championships.
Lincoln Area Championships, 2010
Forest East Tae Kwon-Do members at the Lincoln area championships. The club did very well in this competition placing 4th overall winning eleven Gold, two Silver and seven Bronze medals.
IX TKD World Championships, 2010
